On behalf of all our Colleagues, staff and students, I am pleased to welcome you to the Genetics Research Center.

Being a center for professional research in University of Social welfare and Rehabilitation Sciences provides a tremendous opportunity for our students to excel in a forward thinking and rich scientific environment. This is the place where Science and practice embraces technology; so, our graduates will be business educated, applications focused and success driven!

We are committed in providing a solid foundation for our specific expert area within a hands-on, experiential learning environment with opportunities to cooperate and to work with any institutions and corporation throughout the region which is involved somehow in the health related fields regarding our mission. This co-op will hopefully intend to learn first-hand about entrepreneurship and product innovation as well. Iranome: Iranian Genomic Variations

The human genome is highly variable and each individual’s genome contains approximately 3.5 million Single Nucleotide Polymorphisms (SNPs) and 1000 large (>500 bp) Copy Number Variations (CNVs).

Today, large scale projects such as the 1000 Genomes and the International HapMap projects have been implemented on large scale samples from different populations such as Europeans, Americans, East Asians, and sub-Saharan Africans to increase our understanding of the contribution of genomic variations to human diseases. … more
